Paintings, Watercolors

I am a self-taught artist with an international background.  I bring to my work the richness of my youth in Saxony behind the ”Iron Curtain.” the values of my education in western Germany’s Moselle and Hunsrueck regions, and the variety of my life and career in in America’s West and Midwest.  I have been fine-tuning my artistic talents for more than 30 years.  Now retired as a Senior International Trade Specialist and a new resident of Virginia, I am actively pursuing my life-long artistic passion and hope to pass my talent onto my four grandchildren.

My artistic passion ranges from expressing the explosive energy of the cosmos to the gentle breezes of pastoral fields.  Colors and forms are my daily companions.  Nature and my own imagination inspire themes I bring to paper and canvas.  For example, my inspiration for abstract paintings comes from my need to create what for others may be yet unseen.  I experiment with watercolor, oil, acrylic and acrylic inks and use other media to create a variety of textures.  I want the viewer to be involved in the painting.  Together we create a dialogue.
